Calcined Petroleum Coke Granules is a hard, solid petroleum product that is either black or dark grey and has a metallic luster. It is a carbon body composed of minuscule needles, columns, or granules of graphite. Typically, between 0.5mm and 8mm in size, they are made by crushing and screening calcined petroleum coke. Then, the granules are utilized as a high-quality carbon source in electric arc furnaces and other high-temperature industrial operations.

Product Description

• Petroleum Coke manufactured by delayed coking of residues obtained from crude oil distillation units of Oil Refineries is called Green or Raw Petroleum Coke.
• The said Green or Raw Petroleum Coke calcined at a temperature 1200 centigrade to 1300 centigrade to produce Calcined Petroleum Coke.
• Calcined Petroleum Coke is extensively used for melting purpose of Alumina in Aluminium industry, as a carbon raiser while making Special High Carbon Steel in Foundries, as a conductive backfill in ground Electrode station and in manufacture of various Carbon and Graphite Products.
• The Raw petroleum coke after calcination removes impurities of Sulphur and nitrogen, therefore the content of the fix carbon increases and impurity decreases in calcine Petroleum Coke. 
• The CPC is available with low Sulphur (1%) and high Sulphur up to 3.5 % 
• The fix Carbon is from 97 to 99%.
